Sand Hills Prairie Park Tunnel Sculpture
Working with artist David Franklin, Integrated Design Engineers will engineer the connection necessary to hang an aluminum sculpture from the concrete ceiling of this pedestrian tunnel.
Featuring Franklin's award-winning "Drift Inversion" design, the 116-feet long and 23-feet wide sculpture will showcase the undulating aluminum installation, which draws inspiration from the striking image of a desert landscape populated by shifting sand dunes.
The finished product will transform what is traditionally thought of as a dull and dark space into a public walking area inhabited with wonder and warmth.
