Sand Hills Prairie Park Tunnel Sculpture

Another captivating collaboration between artist David Franklin and Integrated Design Engineers. Together, we brought to life an extraordinary aluminum sculpture that will hand gracefully from the concrete ceiling of the pedestrian tunnel in Sand Hills Prairie Park.

Featuring Franklin's award-winning design, "Drift Inversion," this impressive installation measures 116 feet in length and 23 feet in width. its undulating form, inspired by the mesmerizing shapes of desert sand dunes, will transform this often-over-looked space into a vibrant, engaging area for the public. Our goal is to redefine the pedestrian experience by illuminating what is typically seen as a dull, dark environment. The finished sculpture will infuse warmth and wonder into the runnel, inviting visitors to explore and appreciate the art.
