This ambitious remodel of a 16,000 square foot tilt-up warehouse was originally constructed in the 1960s. This project aims to modernize the facility by relocating and enhancing the existing 12,000 square feet of office space. The remodel will involve the removal of the outdated sawtooth roof structure, which will be replaced with a new, contemporary design utilizing heavy timber and steel framing.

As the engineer of record, Integrated Design Engineers (idE) will lead the seismic renovations to ensure the building meets current safety standards. Key upgrades will include the installation of new diaphragm ties connecting the exterior walls and the implementation of internal steel-braced frames and shear walls. These enhancements are part of a comprehensive plan to deliver full seismic upgrades alongside the new construction, ensuring the facility is both functional and resilient.
