Seattle Public Utilities Spokane St. Pump Station Structural & Electrical Assessment
Integrated Design Engineers served as the prime consultant for Seattle Public Utilities in assessing the structural and electrical systems of the Spokane St. Pump Station. This building, dating back to the 1920s, is a single-story unreinforced brick structure featuring an overhead crane supported by the unreinforced masonry, with water pumps resting directly on concrete walls.
Our collaboration with electrical and mechanical sub-consultant Sazan Group Inc. resulted in three cost-estimated alternatives for the repair, rehabilitation, and replacement of both the structural and mechanical/electrical systems within the facility.
