We are thrilled to share with you that Integrated Design Engineers has been named the 2015 King County Minority-Owned Small Business of the Year.
For Integrated Design Engineers, the year 2015 not only marks our first ten years as a successful small business, but also signifies ten years of developing King County’s strongest asset: King County itself. As consulting structural engineers, it’s our job to make sure new buildings in King County will stand throughout everyday use and stay safe during earthquakes. We’ve designed public works facilities, office spaces, high rises and residences throughout King County’s 39 cities.
But life in King County is not only shaped by its built environment. King County’s identity is expressed by the people who live there and the children whose education in King County will impact the rest of their lives, which is why employees of Integrated Design Engineers are encouraged through paid time to volunteer teaching science, technology, engineering and math (or STEM) to King County children though tutoring and engineering fairs throughout the year.
We’re excited by what we’ve achieved in our first ten years and look forward to many more.
