Andersen Air Force Base Hangar Erection Plan

Integrated Design Engineers designed the steel erection sequence of a Marine Corps Aviation Squadron hangar for fixed wing and tiltrotor aircraft at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam.

To design the structural steel erection plan, we modeled and analyzed all members shown on the structural drawings for construction loads and hurricane-force winds. 

We performed a stage analysis based on the erection sequence, and checked all connections shown on the structure drawings based on construction loads. We also designed the foundation for the hangar’s temporary shoring structure.
